Ado Cars Drifter Controls

The controls in Ado Cars Drifter are simple, so you don’t need to worry about remembering too many buttons:

Keyboard

  • W/Up arrow – Accelerate
  • S/Down arrow – Brake/reverse
  • A/Left arrow – Turn left
  • D/Right arrow – Turn right
  • Space – E-brake

How To Play Ado Cars Drifter

  • Start by accessing ‘SETTINGS’ from the main menu.
  • Choose the ideal graphics quality for your device from six levels:
    • Fastest (Lowest detail) – Basic graphics for low-spec devices.
    • Fantastic (Highest detail) – Ultra graphics for high-spec devices.
  • Then, return to the main menu and select ‘PLAY’.
  • From here, you can choose between 7 available cars, and each one is automatically unlocked by leveling up.

Next, select from three tracks. You can play in the container yard as soon as you start the game. The additional tracks unlock as you progress.

After selecting your track, it’s time to start drifting!

Once you get the hang of the game’s great drifting physics, you’ll start racking points by showing off your sideways skills. However, be careful – if you crash, transition, or straighten out, you’ll lose your points.

Unlike some other drifting games, there are no combos to fall back on.

Keep an eye on your in-game progress with the following:

  • Your record score: When you earn more points, you can try for a new record or play it safe to increase your level, automatically unlocking new cars and tracks. You can see this in the top right of the game screen.
  • Remaining time left: This is in the top left of the screen. Don’t worry too much; you can always start another run when the time expires.
  • Overall progress – Click the ‘ACHIEVEMENTS’ button in the main menu to track your progression and see what level you need to reach to unlock your dream rides.

Ado Cars Drifter Tips & Tricks

  • Start slow to understand car handling and build skills: Begin with lower speeds to get a feel for your car’s behavior. This allows you to practice precision and control before attempting more complex drifting.
  • Use the e-brake strategically: The handbrake (space bar) is a useful tool when you need it. Apply it briefly to break traction, but avoid holding it too long, as it will slow you down excessively. Practice different timing to find what works best for each corner.
  • Focus on maximizing individual drifts: Since Ado Cars Drifter doesn’t have a combo system you’d find in games like Drift Hunters, concentrate on making each drift count. Aim for long, controlled slides to rack up points consistently.
  • Maintain moderate steering angles: While it’s tempting to go for extreme angles, moderate steering inputs often result in longer, more controlled drifts and, therefore, bigger records.
  • Master counter-steering: As you initiate a drift, quickly turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction to maintain control. This technique is essential for higher scoring opportunities and preventing spins.
  • Target faster corner entry speeds: Higher entry speeds can lead to longer drifts and quicker point accumulation. However, balance this with control to avoid spinning out.
  • Skip smaller corners when chasing records: When aiming for high scores, focus on longer sweeping corners that allow for extended drifts. Smaller corners are unlikely to provide enough opportunity for significant point gains.

While Ado Cars Drifter offers great quick-play drifting action, if you’re seeking more impressive gameplay, tuning, upgrades, AI traffic, and drifting challenges, you should check out the ultimate free drifting browser game Drift Hunters MAX.
