or those who don’t know, Touge is the Japanese word for a winding mountain road. That is where the drifting started. It is currently the fastest growing motorsport and certainly every fan of drifting would love to see a competition on winding mountain roads. Surely this is the same thing that inspired organizers of the Polish Drifting Championship (DMP) last year, who decided to do a round in Karpacz, the small town located in the Polish mountains… -

I have to admit, going to Hungary I’ve had split feelings - on one hand we had an opportunity to see how our (EEDC) drivers look going against “Drift AllStars” , probably the best drivers in Europe, a Hungarian drift culture which always had a lot of sexual content within it, and a worrisome night stage on a track which from videos looked slow and narrow… I was not sure what to expect. -

LIVESTREAM: Formula Drift 2012: Round Six: Afterdark
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway plays host to Formula DRIFT. The "Diamond in the Desert" is just outside the Vegas Strip and has hosted events such as NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA and more recently Formula DRIFT. The custom built course is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, drifting circuits in the world. With a very high-speed triple entry, drivers are pushed to put their fears behind them and risk it all when entering the first turn. -

It's incredible how large the sport has grown in the past coupe years, and how the cars have changed to quickly. ProAm drivers were moved to their own separate area as the main pit area was filled to the brim with all the Pro drivers. Every year there have been an increase in the amount of drivers competing for that top 32 spot, and its great to see so many new faces and cars out to battle. -

Drift Allstars would come to Ireland for Round 3 of it's 2012 series in search of top quality drivers to challenge the Professional Drivers of the European Drift Allstars series. We got tired of making the stereotypical drift video. So, we did some brainstorming and came up with the idea of making a cheesy music video at a Formula Drift event. We chose the infamous song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen and we began filming. We just chose random FD fans/staff/drivers to lip sync the song and I can say without a doubt that this was the most fun I've ever had shooting a video; it just goes to show that the fun at drift events isn't confined to the track! -
