CarX Drift Racing 3 Finally Arrives On iOS And Android

The wait is finally over, with CarX Drift Racing 3 now available to download on iOS and Android devices, and here are our favorite features so far.

Available for free on the App Store and Google Play, the latest game in the series brings the most impressive physics to mobile drift racing, along with never-seen-before BeamNG.drive-style soft-body damage and much more.

If you want to know more about the game’s features and details, head over to our comprehensive CarX Drift Racing 3 guide. Or, if you’re looking to play it on your favorite console, we’ve got everything you need to know in our PlayStation/Xbox/Switch release date guide.

Here’s a quick summary of what to expect when you first get your hands on CarX 3, and how to quickly start earning and unlocking the main features:

When you first get started, you’ll be gifted a Nissan S13, also known as a “NISHIMO S13”, and you either have the option of “Free Ride” or a comprehensive single-player campaign that starts with “Drifting Fundamentals” teaching you the game’s basics before ramping up to advanced techniques.

While I’m not usually one for track-based “Free Ride” modes, the new damage system is a great way to enjoy getting to grips with the game and exploring the map. It offers the opportunity to experience destroying your body panels one by one as you gradually start perfecting your sideways skills. I can tell you now that it’s incredibly satisfying!

From minor dents and scratches to damaged panels, shattered glass, and realistic chassis deformation, deliver undoubtedly the best damage we’ve ever experienced in a drifting game.

Once you’ve built enough “Fans” reputation points via the in-game reward system by proving your skills are up to scratch, you can unlock the online Tandem Races and Top 32 Championships.

With 800 Fans, you can the unlock the all-new “Configuration Editor,” a track editor allowing you to build custom tracks and layouts for the first time in the series.

You can adjust just about every aspect you can think of, and you also get to add various obstacles, which will sure make things exciting when combined with the damage system!

Once you’ve built up some cash and unlocked some of the upgrade features, you can begin to create your dream ride, with just about every aspect of the car being completely customizable.

From the ability to individually modify every body panel to detailed engine tuning, the possibilities are pretty much endless!

Once you’ve started working on the looks and performance upgrades, you’ll undoubtedly need to start tweaking your setup. Thankfully, as you probably guessed, the tuning aspect is insanely in-depth, too.

From our initial time in the game, it certainly lives up to expectations while also being satisfyingly challenging. I know I keep repeating it, but I’m still yet to get over the soft-body damage physics, which, once again, are absolutely mind-blowing.

Although there have been some initial connection issues immediately after release, this is undoubtedly down to the deserved hype that’s been created. Following “Maintenance Work”, the CarX Tech team has already rolled out an update, which has already calmed things down.

It’ll undoubtedly be worth the wait once it’s finished breaking the internet!

To get the ultimate CarX Drift Racing 3 experience before it comes to consoles, it may be worth investing in a controller for your mobile if you’re a hardcore gamer.

In the meantime, if you’re stuck waiting to play, you can enjoy Drift Hunters MAX in your browser right now, which is completely free. It’s a solid alternative to keep your drifting skills sharp until you can dive into CarX Drift Racing 3’s next-gen experience.
