CarX Street Unleashes New PC Gameplay Trailer

We’re now officially just one day away from something fans thought they might never get the chance to witness – the PC launch of CarX Street!

If you missed it, make sure you check out our earlier CarX Street PC announcement article, where we take a deep dive into what you can expect from the latest PC game in the CarX series.

As a final teaser before tomorrow’s official launch, the CarX Technologies team dropped a gameplay trailer packed with plenty of sideways action and hints that offer a glimpse into what players can expect when they can finally fire up their engines and head to the streets:

Talking of firing up engines, the trailer opens with a widebody Toyota GR Supra (well, an unlicensed alternative, anyway) that shows off its awesome raspy exhaust note (which is a definite audible improvement) before heading to the city and displaying its tire-shredding antics, then venturing to a variety of locations, from bustling highways and neon-lit city streets to the twisty touge mountain roads.

The diverse settings are populated with traffic, from everyday vehicles to construction equipment, showcasing the game’s awesome details and what appears to be an improvement over the already fantastic physics gamers have appreciated from CarX Drift Racing Online.

While drifting still takes center stage (thankfully!), the trailer also highlights “Sprint” races, demonstrating that CarX Street offers a well-rounded racing experience beyond going sideways, appealing to almost every racing game enthusiast imaginable.

Fans will also be grateful to see the return of the comprehensive customization system, which is now better than ever. The system shows off upgrading various vehicle components and applying body mods, such as a RWB-style widebody kit to a flame-spitting Porsche 911 (lookalike.)

There’s also an impressive lineup of vehicles inspired by real-world classics and modern performance cars. The trailer teases JDM-“style” legends, including near-identical replicas of the “Hakosuka” Skyline, Nissan S15, and Lexus LFA, alongside numerous recent additions like the Toyota GR86.

Don’t panic — American and European marques aren’t forgotten, either. There’s an ever-more diverse car list that caters to all tastes.

Fans also noticed the fuel management system tire wear indicators, with on-screen prompts indicating when players must refuel or swap out their bald tires, adding strategic elements to longer races and free-roam sessions not previously seen in CarX Drift Racing Online.

Eager-eyed spotters also noticed both in-game currency (CR) and what appears to be real-world currency ($) displays. This, combined with the lack of official pricing or pre-order capability with just a day to go, leaves fans concerned that the game may focus on microtransactions. However, this could simply be a second in-game currency. All will be revealed tomorrow!

While the launch focuses on the PC version, we also spotted Xbox button prompts in the trailer for the ‘Photo mode,’ providing some optimism that the highly-anticipated console release may be closer than initially expected. The surprise announcement of the PC version gives some hope that Xbox and PlayStation players will not have to wait too long to join the action!

After the release, the team will undoubtedly be all hands on deck to deliver even more epicness to the fans with the next arrival in the series — CarX Drift Racing 3, which is already looking insane!
