James Deane Unveils His All-New Drift HQ

Deane christens his freshly built drift compound while showcasing the state-of-the-art workshop and new home for his epic car collection.

In the video below, the four-time Formula DRIFT champ takes us behind the scenes of his dream garage.

The stunning facility is a significant upgrade from his previous home garage setup, providing the perfect hub for his ever-growing collection of championship-winning cars (and many more!)

Before the reveal, he heads to the Drift Games Bash at Mondello Park, where he spends two days throwing down high-speed backward entries and bashing doors with fellow drivers, including Jack Shanahan, Formula DRIFT’s latest addition to the 2025 roster.

After piloting his near-stock Irish RTR Mustang for the weekend, equipped with only basic engine and suspension upgrades, it withstands the event well. Deane sounds impressed, too, stating, “I cannot believe the abuse that this Mustang keeps taking.”

The tour showcases the workspace perfect for drift car prep, featuring dual car lifts and a fully insulated interior for year-round comfort (we all know what the harsh Irish winters can be like!). “It’s been a dream of mine to get into a place like this,” says Deane.

It’s awesome to see the three legendary Falken cars together in the new space. The rarely seen Mazda RX-7 FD sits alongside the iconic Nissan S14.9, which he credits with transforming his career, and the BMW E92 “Eurofghter,” which earned him the 2019 Drift Masters Championship. Deane states, “They’re like my kids.”

Outside the garage, it’ll come as no surprise that there’s a purpose-built drift arena, perfect for testing and practicing.

He wastes no time christening the space with the millimeter-perfect precision he’s known for, executing perfect wall runs on the fresh building in his Nissan 350Z missile drift car. We’re not jealous – promise!

Just as he’s about to wrap up the tour, a mysterious container delivery arrives from “far, far away,” sparking speculation about its contents.

Could it contain a purpose-built RTR Mustang for the upcoming Drift Masters season? All we know is that his reaction suggests it’s something BIG!
