Car Selection

Racing Limits gets you started with a free SMART car as your first ride. Sure, it’s by far the slowest in the game, but don’t write it off completely – its tiny size and nimble handling make it perfect for getting used to threading through tight traffic gaps that’ll be a struggle with the bigger, wider cars you’ll soon be unlocking.
Instead of dumping your hard-earned rewards into upgrades here, we’d recommend saving your hard-earned cash and rewards to grab something with more power as soon as you can.
Once you’ve got a decent ride, you can begin installing upgrades and boosting your rewards, and before you know it, the earnings will start flowing in, and you can start building your dream garage.
The game boasts a massive selection of 34 vehicles to choose from, ranging from everyday commuters to exotic supercars and hypercars.

You’ll also find plenty of familiar drift cars, such as the Mazda Miata, BMW M3, Subaru BRZ, Honda S2000, and the Nissan 350Z, as well as Paul Walker’s (RIP) personal favorite, the R34 GTR, alongside various European exotics, American muscle, and everything in between. Sadly, you’re not able to get them sideways, though!
As you begin to unlock the faster cars in the game, it gets increasingly challenging as you blast down the highway at 200+ mph, but the rewards start coming in thick and fast! The variety means there’s something for every driving style – whether you prefer lightweight nimble machines or heavyweight speed demons.

Each car handles differently based on realistic physics. The lightweight sports cars will feel completely different from a heavy truck. It’s worth experimenting with different rides to find the one that suits your driving style best.
Thankfully, the game allows you to try out ‘Free Trials’ in the garage, where you can get a taste of which car(s) are best suited for your needs.
Game Modes
Racing Limits gives you five different ways to get your adrenaline fix, each with a unique twist. In all these modes, you can choose between one-way or two-way traffic (if you’re feeling brave), and pick your ideal time of day – morning, sunset, or night – each offering different traffic patterns.
Career Mode
Work your way through 80 levels, each offering different challenges and missions to unlock cash and coin rewards. Start with basic overtaking tasks and progress to more challenging scenarios that’ll test your skills to the limit.
Infinite Mode
Head straight to the streets in the ultimate endurance test and see how far you can drive without crashing. You’ll get a ‘High Score’, and remember you can bump this up by earning combos with close calls and risky driving – just make sure you don’t crash! Once you’ve set a new high score, you can challenge your friends to beat it.
Time Against (Time Trial) Mode
Race against the clock to reach the checkpoints. Great for perfecting your skills against the clock and adapting under pressure to earn those crucial seconds.
Free Mode
Cruise around without any pressure or objectives. Perfect for getting familiar with new cars, exploring different tracks, and fine-tuning your abilities ahead of the crucial multiplayer action against your friends!
Multiplayer Mode
Go head-to-head against friends or random players from around the world in this free multiplayer mode. This is where things get seriously competitive – expect aggressive overtaking, crazy maneuvers, and some seriously close finishes. Pull off as many close calls as you can for free NOS boosts!
Track List
Racing Limits features three tracks:
- Highway (Free)
- Desert (Requires unlock)
- City (Requires unlock)
You’re also able to choose the ideal time of day – morning, sunset, and night. You can also adjust the traffic density and choose between one-way or two-way traffic to dial up the difficulty exactly how you want it (in Single Player modes.)
Getting Started
New to Racing Limits? Here’s everything you need to know to get started:
Jump straight into the game through your browser. Remember, no downloads, installations, or account creation are required. You’ll start with the free SMART car we mentioned earlier, which is perfect for learning the ropes.
Start With Free Mode
Before diving into ‘Career’ or ‘Multiplayer’, spend a few minutes in ‘Free Mode’ to get comfortable with the controls. Practice accelerating, braking, and weaving through the traffic without any pressure or time limits to worry about.
Learn The Basics

Test out the different camera angles (press C) to see what works best for you. Most beginners prefer the rear view, but we feel the cockpit view provides the best experience once you’re comfortable.
Traffic Navigation
Once you’ve got to grips with the basics, start with one-way traffic and morning time settings to keep things simple. Focus on tapping the keys rather than holding them, as small adjustments work better at high speeds.
Starting Your Career
Once you’re comfortable, jump into ‘Career Mode’. The early challenges are designed to teach you the fundamentals – overtaking safely, maintaining speed, and avoiding crashes, while also earning rewards to save for your next ride.
Money Management
Our top tip would be not to upgrade your SMART car! We appreciate it’s tempting, but try to save every penny from your first few races to buy something faster. You’ll progress much quicker with a better base car than trying to soup up the starter.
Maximizing Nitro (NOS) Potential
Use your nitro (F key) sparingly – save it for overtaking or escaping tight situations. Watch your speed in heavy traffic, too, and remember that crashing sets you back much more than hitting the brakes!
Hints & Tips
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to leave your friends in your virtual dust, these tips will help you master Racing Limits:
Master The Basics
Start with the rear camera view, as it provides the best view of all the traffic around you. Keep your steering inputs smooth rather than jerky; small adjustments work much better at high speeds than dramatic swerving.
Traffic Navigation

Look ahead, but not just at the car directly in front of you. Scan 3-4 vehicles ahead to spot potential gaps and plan your moves early. Traffic tends to bunch up, so patience often pays off more than aggressive overtaking.
For two-way traffic (the real challenge!), stick to the right side unless you’re confident you can complete an overtake safely. Oncoming traffic appears fast, especially once you’ve upgraded your ride, so give yourself more room than you think you might need.
Scoring Higher
Close calls and near-misses boost your score significantly, especially once you start racking up the combos. The closer you get to other vehicles without touching, the more points you rack up. But remember – one crash sets you back to square one!
Consistency beats speed in Infinite Mode. It’s better to maintain a steady pace you can control than to go flat-out and crash after 30 seconds.
Money-Making Tips
Focus on the ‘Career Mode’ challenges first – they offer the best reward-to-effort ratio. Don’t get distracted by Infinite Mode high scores until you’ve got a decent car to work with.

Remember to visit every day to earn new rewards – you get cash just for turning up! (If only the real world were that easy!)
If you need some quick cash, there are numerous reward opportunities available on the home screen. You can follow on various social media platforms, spin the wheel for a random prize, or watch an ad for a selection of rewards.
Once you’ve started mastering the game, you can spend as long as you want racking up huge scores and combos to achieve the ultimate cars in the game.
Advanced Techniques

Use your nitro strategically – save it for escaping tight situations or making crucial overtakes, not just for straight-line speed. A well-timed nitro boost can turn a risky gap into a safe overtake.
Learn each car’s braking distance. Lighter cars stop more quickly, but heavier vehicles require more planning. This becomes crucial when threading through heavy traffic at high speeds.

Don’t be afraid to hit the horn or flash your headlights. Although it doesn’t do much for oncoming traffic, some drivers will change lanes to let you pass.
